PCA Advocacy Day - April 17

Greetings Pennsylvania Counselors and Counseling Students--

The Pennsylvania Counseling Association is organizing its first Advocacy Day on Tuesday April 17th in Harrisburg, PA. We are rolling out sign-ups now to make sure that we have a headcount and that we can start scheduling meetings with representatives. Meetings will be scheduled on your behalf by the PCA lobbyist, Janelle Lynch, which is why we require your home address.

Please sign-up by February 9th.

In March we will provide web-based materials (e.g., written information, video training) for all attendees to prepare them for meeting with representatives.  At the beginning of April we will finalize action items for members to discuss in their meetings with talking points.

On April 17th all attendees will take meetings with their representatives in the morning, which is when they typically meet with constituents. This will be followed by an afternoon round-up/meeting to celebrate and discuss how to extend advocacy efforts into the future. Please contact Travis Schermer (twschermer@carlow.edu) with any questions.

With thanks,

PCA Government Relations Committee
