Cancelled: GPCA First Annual Conference

Greetings GPCA member!

In light of the health concerns associated with the spread of COVID-19, GPCA has decided to postpone the upcoming conference scheduled for Friday, April 17th.  It is GPCA's intention to reschedule this conference; hopefully to be held this summer.  Once a new date is confirmed, information will be disseminated by email and through GPCA's Facebook and Group pages.

GPCA encourages everyone to take extra care especially with your health.  Kindly heed the warnings of medical experts as well as our local, state and federal governments.  Slowing the spread of the virus could help prevent our healthcare system from being overwhelmed all at once, which is an important goal for all of us, whether or not we ever actually contract the virus ourselves.  There are still many unknowns about this virus, which lead us to stress both calm minds and hearts as well as an abundance of caution during this uncertain time.

GPCA's next Board meeting is currently scheduled to be held at Carlow University on Monday, April 6, 2020 at 6 PM.  The GPCA Board has decided to continue with this date and time however, the meeting will be held through the video-conference service Zoom.  As a GPCA member, you are encouraged to participate in any of the Board meetings as you are able.  Kindly email greaterpittsburghcounseling@gmail.com if you plan to attend; your email will be added to the Zoom invitation to be circulated on April 1st.  If you are unable to attend and have any matters of interest to be discussed at the Board meeting, kindly submit the information by email to greaterpittsburghcounseling@gmail.com by Tuesday, March 31st so they may be included on the agenda.

As other changes or cancellations/postponements become necessary, GPCA will keep you informed.  Feel free to email any questions or concerns you may have.  Thank you for your continued support of the Greater Pittsburgh counseling community.
