CALL FOR PROPOSALS

 

The Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA) is pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for the 49th Annual PCA Conference. We invite innovative and quality proposals that are both practical and research-based and address areas of counseling, counselor education, and clinical supervision. We are particularly interested in presentations that discuss ways of collaborating across disciplines. Proposals must adhere to the policies below:

 

Policies and Instructions

 

Important Dates:

  • Proposals are due by June 12, 2017.
  • Acceptance notices will be emailed to Lead Presenters only
  • Assigned presentation time slots will be emailed to Lead Presenters only.
  • All proposals must include a Master’s- or Doctoral-level presenter to be eligible to award CEs to participants. Bachelor’s-level presenters may present with Master’s- or Doctoral-level presenters.
  • An individual may not submit, nor appear on more than two proposals, either as primary presenter or co-presenter. Those with two will be considered as per conference schedule limitations.
  • Presenters encouraging the solicitation of materials or services will not be accepted. Those who wish to advertise or sell materials must purchase exhibit space and confine promotional efforts to the exhibit area. Additionally, ads are available for purchase in the conference program.

 

Costs:

  • Presenters are responsible for all expenses including, but not limited to, travel, lodging, and transportation.
  • The conference rate for all presenters, regardless of the time of registration, will be equivalent to the early conference registration fee ($225.00 for members and $250.00 for non-members; $125 for student members and $150.00 for student non-members).

 

Presentation Equipment:

  • Neither laptops nor LCD projectors are provided by the Valley Forge Convention Center or PCA; however, a flip chart and easel will be placed in each presentation room. Presenters are responsible for all other audio/visual needs and presentation equipment. Information about renting equipment is available by contacting the Valley Forge Convention Center directly and must be financed by the presenter.
