The mission of the American Counseling Association is to enhance the quality of life in society by promoting the development of professional counselors, advancing the counseling profession, and using the profession and practice of counseling to promote respect for human dignity and diversity.

If you have an ethics question related to practice as a professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and are a dues paying member of PCA, the ethics committee is available for consultation. Simply e-mail a brief summation of your concern to Dr. Gregory Roth, the Ethics Chair for PCA (rothg@lasalle.edu). An email will be sent to confirm your query has been received, and the ethics committee will respond with suggestions and resources as soon as possible.
