PCA Virtual Advocacy Event

ADVOCACY DAY 2021:
A VIRTUAL ASYNCHRONOUS EVENT
APRIL 26 - JULY 1, 2021

Dear Pennsylvania Counseling Association Members.

We hope this finds you well.

April is the time of year when PCA members travel to Harrisburg for Advocacy Day. While going to the Capitol is not feasible this year, PCA Government Relations is undeterred. Instead, we will be recognizing Counseling Awareness Month 2021 with a virtual Advocacy Day! Click for the flyer!

Government Relations has prepared a presentation that highlights issues at the state, regional, and national levels. PCA members can watch the video, review the slides, and take the quiz for 1 CE from the NBCC*. Members must score 80% or greater in order to earn the credit for the hour and it will only be available until July 1, 2021**.

State: PCA Anti-Racism
*Interview with Drs. Christina Green and Sonja Lund*

Region: State Compacts
*Interview with Dr. Nellie Scanlon*

Nation: Medicare Legislation
*Discussion with Dr. Travis Schermer*

This year Advocacy Day is virtual, but we hope you’ll join us next year in Harrisburg! It is through our collective action that we can continue to strengthen our profession in the Commonwealth and beyond.

With appreciation for all your work—

PCA Government Relations Committee

*This program is offered for 1 hours of NBCC continuing education through CE sponsorship of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association. The Pennsylvania Counseling Association has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 2039. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The Pennsylvania Counseling Association is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

**CE certificates will be emailed out after July 1, 2021. Please note that the issuing of the free CE is for PCA members only.
