GPACA

Greater Philadelphia Area Counseling Association (GPACA)

The Greater Philadelphia Area Counseling Association (GPACA) is a division of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA). The Greater Philadelphia Area Counseling Association is also a regional "branch" chapter of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association who represent counselors in the Philadelphia area. The purpose of this chapter is to promote professional counseling and to support students and practicing counselors through networking and CE opportunities.

The Purpose of GPACA is:

  • To promote the purpose of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and PCA.

  • To serve and represent the professional counselors living and/or working in the greater Philadelphia region.

  • To provide opportunities for networking, peer supervision, professional development, leadership, and advocacy for the counseling profession.

  • To enhance human development throughout the lifespan.

  • To promote professional counseling.

GPACA Member Benefits:

  • Connect and network with counseling professionals working in the greater Philadelphia region.

  • Participate in continuing education and learning opportunities for professional development.

  • Participate in leadership opportunities through board and committee involvement.

  • Participate in advocacy efforts that promote the counseling profession in the greater Philadelphia region.

Other Information:

  • GPACA is actively seeking professional counselors interested in leadership positions within the GPACA organization.

  • Membership in GPACA does require that you are a member of PCA. Please remember that PCA membership affords many valuable opportunities.

  • GPACA annual membership dues are $10 for professionals and $5 for students and retirees
